"Roz and I began the endeavor as acquaintances, as two of twenty board members would be, but never having worked closely together. With the critical responsibility of leading the identification of the JCCSF’s next generation leader, Roz could not have been a better leader, a better partner throughout the entire process.
The very beginning of our planning process revealed Roz’ singular organizational ability, focused attention to detail, generous perspective on inclusion (particularly discussing the formation of the committee and the desired diversity for the ultimate pool of candidates), all leavened with a fierce insistence on absolute discretion.
In every complex search, difficult issues arise, particularly managing the strong opinions and perspectives of fellow committee members and board members. Roz, with her firm, fair yet solicitous and gracious manner, sailed our JCCSF search ship through every set of cjhoppy water we encountered.
The search was, of course, a success. A greater personal success is the close relationship I developed with Roz over the ultimately nine months working together. Reflecting the highest professional regard with which I hold Roz, I have introduced her to an important client of our wealth management firm, the CEO of a very well- regarded Human Capital consulting firm. In addition, I expect my firm, Cornerstone, will engage Roz in early 2022 as we refine our DEI goals."
